How AirManager Works

AirManager products remove airborne particulates from the air using 2 technologies based within the machine, CCFT (close coupled field technology) and HAF (high air flow) filters.

Particulates pass through the filter, a portion being trapped within the filter and the remainder passing through the CCFT degrading these particulates to their constituent molecular parts whilst providing immense oxidation . The result of this is destruction in 1 pass of 99.99999999% (log 10) of all aerobic and anaerobic pathogen and particulates larger than 0.01 micron.

Ideal for office, leisure, residential and heathcare applications.

What it kills: up to 99.99999999% of all aerobic (oxygen dependant) and anaerobic pathogen (airborne life forms), dust and inert particulates greater in size than 0.01 micron. This includes, but is not limited too, destruction of:

E Coli

MRSA

C Diff

Salmonella

Pet Dander

Pollen

Dust mite faeces

Mould spores

Bad Odours

etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

The technical stuff:

Airborne challenge testing was carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of the Airmanager unit under controlled laboratory conditions by Microsearch Laboratories. Seven groups of micro-organisms (representing the major microbial types) were tested:

Gram-negative bacteria: Escherichia coli, E.coli 0157 H:7, Salmonella typhimurium,

Enterobacter agglormerans, Ent. gergoviae, Ent. sakazakii,

Aerobacter aerogenes, Serratia marcescens,, Pseudomonas

aeruginosa and P. putida.

Gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus (Oxford), S. aureus (MRSA), S.

epidermidis, Micrococcus luteus, Streptococcus faecalis,

Strep. pyogenes and Bacillus cereus.

Gram positive endospores: B. globigii, B. subtilus and B. megaterium.

Yeasts: Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Sacc. bailii, Sacc. ludwigii

and Pichia spp.

Mould (hyphae): Aspergillus niger, Asp. flavus, Fusarium poea,

F. graminarium and Penicillium digitatum.

Mould (spores): Asp. niger, Asp. flavus, F. poea, F. graminarium, and ` Pen. digitatum,

Viruses:

Single-stranded DNA: CTX phage

Double-stranded RNA: ScV-L-BC [Saccaromyces cerevisiae Virus L-BC]

Single-stranded RNA: Feline coronavirus (attenuated), and

Double-stranded DNA: T4 Phage.

Producing a 100% reduction in counts of viable vegetative cells (bacteria, mould hyphae

and some mould spores), and ~99.99% reduction in counts of bacterial endospores (Bacillus spp.) and mould spores (Aspergillus spp.)

Conclusions .

The Airmanager effectively removed all classes of microbes from contaminated air, producing a 100% reduction in counts of viable vegetative cells (bacteria, mould hyphae and some mould spores), and ~99.99% reduction in counts of bacterial endospores (Bacillus spp.) and mould spores (Aspergillus spp.) in one passage through the unit.

Very high removal rates were achieved in the viral determinations (log 10 reductions; 99.99999999%), reflecting high kill rates and very efficient removal of charged viral particles by the electrostatic filter medium. No viable (living) microbial cells were detected on the filter, and complete retention of microbial cell fragments [bacterial, mould, yeast + viral] was indicated.
